So D'Antoni told Starbury that he wasn't in their team's plans and iced him for all of the team's first 11 games. Instead of waiving or releasing him, they clearly hoped he would negotiate a buyout.

So when they actually NEED him to play in game #12, he returns the favor and declines to play when asked to.

I can't really say I blame Starbury. I think anyone in his position would have done the same thing. If you are going to try to fuck someone out of the employment contract you both have signed, then what exactly do you expect when you actually need that person's help down the road?

Make no mistake about it: Starbury is selfish and a turd. But you can't expect anyone to do you a favor after you try to dick them around yourself.

Marbuy just showed that he hasn't changed a lick since he came into the league... and the Knicks showed why they are a traveling circus.
