What I don't understand about Islam is......

... why it gets such a bad rap compared to Christianity? Or why it gets tied to what crazies do in its name while Christian shitheads who do what they do in god's name get a free pass.

I mean, there are crazies who say they practice Islam and do the crazy things they do in the name of Muhammad and/or Islam. But they aren't true Muslims. They are people who have co-opted the name of Muhammad to do evil deeds.

Just like many Christian crazies. Jim Jones comes to mind very quickly. David Koresh is another. Even Oklahoma bomber Timothy McVey was something of a Christian nut.

Why is it we immediately tie Islam to the crazies that say they are Muslims, but we don't call all American veterans nuts since McVey was an Army vet (along with two of his co-conspirators, Terry Nichols and Michael Fortier)? I mean, when you look at the Oklahoma City bombing, you could just as easily paint the U.S. Army with the same brush that many people have painted Islam in association with World Trade Center.

I guess someone needs to explain it to me.
