He's been out of the game in any team capacity since 2003. Not been a coordinator or non-head coach since 1980. Nineteen fucking eighty!
What exactly can this guy offer that the Niners cannot find in a promising young assistant coach in the NFL? What exactly is it that is so magical about Reeves that they will give yet another retread white coach yet another shot at running a team?
What is the upside to this?
There isn't one, that's what the only answer is.
